The curriculum of the Post Graduate Program offers postgraduate students the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the core subjects of Islamic theology.

Thesis projects will not only focus on these main study areas, but also explore their thematic interconnections. An interdisciplinary approach and reference to interreligious or intertheological dialogue are common to all study areas. Additionally, basic questions are analyzed that are posed by all theologies: What place does research into the questions of denominational religion have in a secular university setting? How can Islamic theology contribute to the intellectual discourses of civil society?
