The Post Graduate Program Islamic Theology has six research locations at the universities of Münster, Erlangen-Nürnberg, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Osnabrück, Paderborn and Tübingen. Each of the participating universities is an equal partner contributing at least one field of research expertise that is integrated into the academic curriculum. The Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster coordinates the Post Graduate Program. Stiftung Mercator provides funding to set up the Post Graduate Program, and guarantees its continuation until 2016 with an investment of up to 3.6 million euros.
